Raging had been a big problem of various  colleges since a long time. Recently University Grants Commission of India launched a new app for helping out students  in case of ragging. The app was launched by Prakash Javadekar, the Human Resource Development Minister of India.

The HRD Minister also said that while majority of the senior students actually ¬†guide their ¬†juniors,in few cases ragging ¬†happens which needs to be eliminated properly, physical ¬†and mental ¬†torture is ragging which we won’t allow.Till now,the students had to register ¬†their complaints by logging in to the university ¬†web portal which took a lot of time for investigation. Though the incidents ¬†of ragging decreased to a great extent but still the malpractice ¬†of ragging is still existing in many colleges. ¬†Javdekar hopes that this practice nay end soon as registering ¬†the complaints and tracking it is easier on the new anti raging app. The app is available on the Google play store for download. After downloading, the students had to register on the app.The copy of the complaint will be sent to all the officials as well as the UGC so that the UGC can keep a track on the incident.
