The non-executive staff holds grudges against Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) which may lead to a strike on monday. As the staff lean on DMRC either to pay them a hike or they would settle everything by shutting the operations off.

Their demands doesn’t ends here. They even asked for nullifying the actions taken by them against the protesting employees.

“Apparently, more than two years later, the salary has no alterations. We are still getting the same pay,” secretary of staff council Anil Kumar Mahato said who represents approx 3000 non-executive staff.

“The non-executive staff of DMRC have already started a sit-in at various crowded stations like at Dwarka, Yamuna Bank, Badarpur, Shahdara, Qutub Minar, and Vishwa Vidyalaya. The staff are sitting on the platforms with black bands on their arms,” he added.

Whereas, there’s no such speculation of upheaval in metro operations till now.

DMRC responded that ,”Since the recommendations of the 3rd pay commission have been accepted by the government and orders are yet to be issued, it is not an apt plight to demand for hike. All pay related issues shall be dealt chronologically as soon as an issue of orders represents by the government.”
